A quick reminder about your home loan and property taxes

August 27, 2026

If your property taxes are paid through your escrow account, we want to make sure you know what to expect during property tax season.

You may receive a property tax bill in the mail, but you do not need to pay it yourself. We’ll use the funds in your escrow account to pay your property taxes before they’re due.

Why did I receive a tax bill?

Your local taxing authority sends the bill directly to you because you are the property owner. That’s normal, even when your property taxes are paid through escrow.

We receive the tax information separately so we can make the payment for you.

Not sure if your property taxes are escrowed?

Before you pay the bill, call us at (907) 225-9063 and ask for the Loan Servicing Team. We can confirm whether your property taxes are included in your escrow account.

If they aren’t, you are responsible for paying the property tax bill directly.
