CO-OP Shared Branching & ATMs
Through CO-OP Shared Branching, Tongass FCU is part of a nationwide network that gives members access to more than 5,000 shared branches and over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs. This cooperative network brings added convenience, making it easier to access your accounts and manage your money while traveling or away from home.
You can visit participating credit union locations within the CO-OP Shared Branch network just as if you were right here at home. You can also use thousands of surcharge-free ATMs nationwide, including many located in convenient retail spots like 7-Eleven, Costco, and Walgreens.
How does Shared Branching work?
Your membership and accounts remain at Tongass FCU, but you can access them at any affiliated Shared Branch location near you. All you need is your valid photo ID and member number.
Through the CO-OP Shared Branch and ATM networks, you can:
- Make deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
- Transfer money
- Receive loan advances
- Purchase cashier’s checks
- Request balance inquiries and more
- Access surcharge-free ATMs nationwide for cash withdrawals and other basic transactions
